An Uncommon Presentation of Crohn's Disease: A Case Report
We present a unique case of Crohn's disease in a 42-year-old female presenting with novel symptoms. The patient initially presented symptoms of abdominal pain, which were misdiagnosed as a common gastrointestinalcondition. Further investigation revealed crohn's disease. The patient received conventional treatment for Crohn's disease, including steroids. The outcome to treatment was successful.
This case demonstrates the necessity of a comprehensive assessment in patients with suspected Crohn's disease, as its manifestations can be heterogeneous.
Presentation
A male/female patient presented to the clinic with a chief complaint/history of symptoms/presenting concern of progressive shortness of breath, cough/dyspnea/respiratory distress. The patient reported a gradual/sudden/insidious onset of symptoms/complaints/manifestations, worsening over the past few months/year/decade. On physical examination, auscultation/palpation/inspection revealed decreased breath sounds in the lower/upper/bilateral lung fields.
Further/Additional/Supplementary investigations included a chest X-ray which demonstrated diffuse/patchy/interstitial opacities consistent with pulmonary fibrosis. A high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) scan of the chest confirmed the diagnosis, revealing honeycombing/fibrotic bands/reticular opacities.
The patient underwent further tests/evaluation/assessments to rule out other potential causes/contributing factors/underlying conditions of pulmonary fibrosis.

The child was a 8-year-old male/female, who arrived at the hospital after consuming a significant quantity of acetaminophen.
